Heart Meditation for Self-Love and Compassion (20
min)
A Meditation to Connect with the Qualities of the
Heart:
Self-compassion, Compassion, Empathy and Trust
In the Book of Wisdom, Osho recommends this technique to connect with the qualities of the
heart for self-compassion, compassion, empathy and trust
In the ancient Indian scripts of the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra the god Bhairava relates to his
beloved wife Bhairavi though 112 Tantric meditation methods. In this one, number 16 from the series, he says: "Blessed one, as senses are absorbed in the heart, reach the center
of the lotus.“
While listening to the music, listen to it from the heart. Feel the music coming to your heart;
let your heart vibrate with it. Let your senses be joined to the heart, not to the head. Try this with all your senses, feeling them passing through your heart and
dissolving.
Prepare yourself for this meditation
If you wish, you can also prepare yourself
for this meditation. Write about the following questions in your notebook or diary.
In your own understanding
and experience, what are the qualities of your heart?
When and in which
situations would you like to meet yourself with more compassion and self-love?
In which area of your life and
about what do you want to develop a more positive attitude?
In which situations and to whom
do you want to develop more empathy and compassion?
